Team

Dr. Carley Fowler, MD

Board Certified Dermatologist

A lifelong Tennessean, Dr. Carley Fowler grew up in Nashville. She attended the University of Georgia where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Biology from the Honors College. She then returned to her home state to attend the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. While a medical student, Dr. Fowler was elected to membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Dr. Fowler was also awarded the AOA Distinguished Graduate Award during her fourth year of medical school.

She completed her residency in dermatology at Vanderbilt University. While at Vanderbilt, Dr. Fowler was selected to be Chief Resident and was awarded the Lloyd King Distinguished Teaching Award for her enthusiasm for teaching junior residents and medical students. Dr. Fowler is currently the President of the East Tennessee Dermatology Society and serves on the board of the Tennessee Dermatology Society. She also serves as volunteer faculty at the University of Tennessee Medical Center and is Board Certified by the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Fowler enjoys all aspects of dermatology, but her clinical interests include skin cancer prevention, detection and surgery; cosmetic dermatology including injectables, chemical peels, and filler; and medical dermatology, including psoriasis, acne, warts, eczema and other related conditions.

Outside of work, Dr. Fowler enjoys spending time with her husband and their sons, attending church, exercising and gardening.

Dr. Daniel Fowler, MD

Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Daniel Fowler, a Tennessee native, is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon with over 10 years of diverse experience.

Dr. Fowler grew up in Memphis, Tennessee and attended the University of Tennessee. After graduating magna cum laude in 2004 with a degree in chemistry and mathematics, he continued his education at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis. During his time at the College of Medicine, Dr. Fowler was elected to membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.

Dr. Fowler first became interested in plastic surgery during medical school after observing facial reconstructive procedures for skin cancer and pediatric congenital deformities. Captivated by the profound restorative effect, deft touch, and meticulous nature of plastic surgery, he knew he would become a plastic surgeon. Dr. Fowler went on to develop a special interest in hand surgery, breast reconstruction, and the treatment and reconstruction of skin cancers. He has an eye for aesthetics and thoroughly enjoys helping patients become their best selves. His compassionate nature, dedication to his craft, attention to detail, and commitment to his patients make him an exceptional surgeon.

When not in the operating room, Dr. Fowler enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and their sons, running, listening to music, playing his guitar, riding in his Jeep with his two boys, and enjoying the outdoors.

Caroline Holland, PA

Board Certified Physician Assistant

Caroline A. Holland is a native of Knoxville, TN. She graduated from the University of Tennessee: Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and then earned a Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies from South College. 

She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is currently a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

When not in the clinic, Caroline enjoys spending time with her high school sweetheart, lounging with her cats, working in the garden, and spending time in Smokies where she greatly enjoys observing Tennessee’s synchronous fireflies in the summer.

Team

Matt Wilks, PA

Board Certified Physician Assistant

Matt grew up along the Ohio River near Huntington, WV.  He attended Maryville College obtaining his Bachelor of Arts Degree in chemistry. He earned a Master of Medical Science Degree with honors from Emory University in 2001. After working in orthopedic surgery, he returned to East Tennessee in 2003 where he has been practicing dermatology for 20 years. 

Matt is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a Diplomate Fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. In addition, he is a clinical preceptor for the South College and Lincoln Memorial University Physician Assistant Programs. Matt sees patients of all ages and enjoys all aspects of general and surgical dermatology.

Outside of clinic, Matt enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and 3 children, weightlifting, playing guitar, serving at his church and coaching his kids sports teams.
