Dr. Carley Fowler, MD
Board Certified Dermatologist
A lifelong Tennessean, Dr. Carley Fowler grew up in Nashville. She attended the University of Georgia where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Biology from the Honors College. She then returned to her home state to attend the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. While a medical student, Dr. Fowler was elected to membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Dr. Fowler was also awarded the AOA Distinguished Graduate Award during her fourth year of medical school.
She completed her residency in dermatology at Vanderbilt University. While at Vanderbilt, Dr. Fowler was selected to be Chief Resident and was awarded the Lloyd King Distinguished Teaching Award for her enthusiasm for teaching junior residents and medical students. Dr. Fowler is currently the President of the East Tennessee Dermatology Society and serves on the board of the Tennessee Dermatology Society. She also serves as volunteer faculty at the University of Tennessee Medical Center and is Board Certified by the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Fowler enjoys all aspects of dermatology, but her clinical interests include skin cancer prevention, detection and surgery; cosmetic dermatology including injectables, chemical peels, and filler; and medical dermatology, including psoriasis, acne, warts, eczema and other related conditions.
Outside of work, Dr. Fowler enjoys spending time with her husband and their sons, attending church, exercising and gardening.

Dr. Daniel Fowler, MD
Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Daniel Fowler, a Tennessee native, is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon with over 10 years of diverse experience.
Dr. Fowler grew up in Memphis, Tennessee and attended the University of Tennessee. After graduating magna cum laude in 2004 with a degree in chemistry and mathematics, he continued his education at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis. During his time at the College of Medicine, Dr. Fowler was elected to membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.
Dr. Fowler first became interested in plastic surgery during medical school after observing facial reconstructive procedures for skin cancer and pediatric congenital deformities. Captivated by the profound restorative effect, deft touch, and meticulous nature of plastic surgery, he knew he would become a plastic surgeon. Dr. Fowler went on to develop a special interest in hand surgery, breast reconstruction, and the treatment and reconstruction of skin cancers. He has an eye for aesthetics and thoroughly enjoys helping patients become their best selves. His compassionate nature, dedication to his craft, attention to detail, and commitment to his patients make him an exceptional surgeon.
When not in the operating room, Dr. Fowler enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and their sons, running, listening to music, playing his guitar, riding in his Jeep with his three boys, and enjoying the outdoors.

Mackenzie Armstrong, PA-C
Mackenzie Armstrong is a board-certified physician assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Originally from Southern Illinois, she relocated to Bowling Green, KY to earn her Bachelor of Science in biology from Western Kentucky University. She then went on to complete her Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies at South College.
Mackenzie started her career serving the greater Knoxville community as an Urgent Care PA for 3.5 years. While in urgent care, she quickly discovered her passion for dermatology. She is thrilled to be a part of the KCDPS team where she is committed to providing exceptional care and helping patients look and feel their best.
Mackenzie lives in Oak Ridge with her fiancé and their dog Rory. During her time off she enjoys reading, taking long walks, playing tennis, traveling, and finding new restaurants.

Rachel Covington
Rachel has been a licensed aesthetician since 2022, but her journey in skincare began in 2019 when she started working for the Fowler’s. With extensive experience in dermatology and plastic surgery, she takes great pride in creating personalized skincare treatment plans designed to meet her patients’ individual needs. What she loves most about her work is getting to know her patients on a personal level and helping them feel more confident in their own skin. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading, working out, walking in parks or hanging out at home with her fiance.
